Skunkbusters were NPCs in YouReeka / Zorillo Plaza. They could be found around the plaza, spraying things with soapy water. One of these Skunkbusters gave a mission asking players to fix an air conditioner.
When a Skunk invasion occurred, several Skunkbuster trainees would spawn, which players could assist by cleaning the Skunks and repairing BroomBots. Upon helping the Skunkbuster trainees, the Skunkbuster Boss would allow players to join the Skunkbusters.
Beta Information[]
Although scrapped in the pre-alpha phase, Skunkbusters appeared briefly in the beta test phase. Due to a bug in Club Station Alpha, players could walk through one of the space station's windows and fall down to a small piece of land suspended in space underneath the station. One could see a Skunkbuster in the center of the plains, though he was only capable of an idle animation, since he had no dialogue and could not be interacted with. The Skunkbuster was eventually removed from the plains.
Trivia[]
- A Skunkbuster statue Quick Build could be found in YouReeka/Zorillo Plaza. When built, the Skunkbuster would move and spray Imagination out of its hose. This quick build can now be found in Brick Annex in Nimbus Station, though the statue is no longer animated when built.
- Based upon their name and the appearance of their backpack and hose, the Skunkbusters are presumably a parody of the Ghostbusters franchise.
- On December 19, 2011, a LEGO Universe moderator named Shival hosted a party for players in Nexus Tower spawning various NPCs and creatures, including a Skunkbuster. On December 28, 2012, another Skunkbuster was spawned in Nimbus Plaza along with a Skunkbuster humvee.
- On January 7, 2012, a LEGO Universe moderator sent an in-game mail with a Skunkbuster backpack item attachment to every online player.
